AboutThe Kingstown Government School, formerly called the Montrose Government School opened its doors on the 10th September, 1962. The school started with thirty-one (31) pupils: twenty (20) boys and eleven (11) girls. By the end of the first week, Friday 14th September, 1962, there were one hundred and thirty-one (131) pupils on roll. The staff comprised fourteen (14) teachers.
